We MEASURE the impact of these social enterprises on Durham and NC’s economic development and community welfare and sharing the results as a means of improving performance and disseminating our lessons learned through actionable research.

Our Members In partnership B-Lab and Green Plus, all BCF space members complete surveys to measure against the triple bottom line: people, planet and profit. Members receive one-on-one consultations and expert workshops designed to strengthen performance across all three dimensions.

Our Sector In concert with our local universities and the Durham Chamber of Commerce, BCF is coordinating research and analysis that measures the how exactly social ventures drive the economic development of our city and the region.

Our Selves We lead by example, walking the talk of rigorous self-evaluation and accountability against third-party metrics that push our organization to continuously set the bar just out of reach.
