Home Grow Our high school partnerships inspire and prepare the next generation of social innovators for our community. Bull City Forward is designing and implementing our own Entrepreneurial Leadership Curriculum within the Career and Technical Education program in Durham public high schools. Bull City Forward’s Youth Engagement Program partners with Durham’s Office of Economic and Workforce Development to support young parents who imagine a better life for their children.

Convert We believe that all businesses can have a positive social impact, and that all nonprofits can improve their financial sustainability. We work with for-profit companies to increase their community integration and social impact. And we work with existing nonprofit organizations to help them construct models for revenue generation that help free them from the capricious cycles of grant dependency.

Recruit We believe that today’s change-makers deserve a community that will help them succeed. Bull City Forward offers a compelling package designed to bring future Echoing Green scholars to Durham. And in concert with the Durham Chamber, Ogilvy, and other city partners, we are collectively re-branding Durham as a premier destination for entrepreneurs who want to make a difference today and tomorrow, here and beyond.

Retain We collaborate with local universities to build on the “brain gain” of young people who are excited about contributing to Durham’s entrepreneurial future. For example, our online community resources offer a comprehensive regional Social Venture Directory and a complementary “Opportunities Board” to help our local job- and internship-seekers find high-impact opportunities right here in Durham.
